Here are 12 traditional tales read in Kassem. These tales in the Kassem language are the heritage of all Kassena-phones around the world. This is the third volume and more will follow soon. The kassena express their conception of life through tales and proverbs. It is thanks to this wisdom that the ancestors succeeded in educating their children. With the traditional tales one enters deeply into the soul of the people, one captures on the spot their impressions, their ideas, their feelings, their rules of life. Traditional tales and proverbs crystallize, so to speak, the wisdom of a people. They are lessons from the experience of centenarians, applied to the various circumstances of practical life, lessons in common sense, words of old men.
